(Really, this time I swear!)

Yup! Due to massive flooding in my county in July, I was activated by my national guard unit to assist with the clean-up efforts. In the middle of this, I had no choice but to move back home, which tore up my office and broke my scanner! Unfortunately, this resulted in yet another disappointing hiatus.

However, my host, Toon Zone is launching a brand new site - cartoonsdammit.com! It's back to basics homebrewed animation and webcomics all in one nifty site - and this time, it will be not just me running the behind the scenes stuff with this comic.

In the spirit of this, I'm starting over. I've taken my archives down, and when the comic restarts, it will start from the beginning - the Upstate I always wanted to tell but lacked the skill four years ago.

Why? Well, there were a lot of things I was unhappy with about my comic (long periods of not updating aside) There were serious problems with the storyline and there were some characters I had created since the very beginning that were langishing in the void. It could only be possible with a clean re-boot of the mythos and I have tinkered to bring about something I'd be happy with. Better now than later, when the tale I tell sets course for ultimate adventure.

So, if you're crazy enough to consider yourself a fan of Lyster and the crew, they'll be back at the launch of Cartoons Dammit on September 15, 2006 - two days after my national guard enlistment is up. I can't think of a better way to strike out on a new path than this!
